On Thursday, April 27, a “tragc accdent” on campus claimed the life of a sophomore at Cheney High School. Superintendent of Cheney Public Schools Ben Ferney told parents in a note that student Brayden Bahme was badly hurt in his 4th-period P.E. class and later ded at the hospital.

Chief Tom Jenkins of the Cheney Fire Department told KREM 2 that Bahme was running when he fell into a “goal post” and was stuck in the eye.

Within a minute, the first people to help Bahme were at the high school. He was taken to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, but he ded there from his woυnds.

The following message was sent out by Bahame’s family about his deth –

“It’s with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to Brayden. Our entire family appreciates the outreach of support. This go-fund-me will be used to take care of Brayden’s final bural arrangements and immediate needs of the family. All remaining funds will be used for a youth fishing program in honor of Brayden “fish pockets” Bahme.”

Do you know that singer Toni Braxton, who is 55 years old, was recently on the show to talk about a health scare she had? The singer has been very open about the fact that she has systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). She said that it almost caused her to have a hert attck:

Superintendent Ferney said that counselors are available for kids and staff who need help during this time.  Ferney’s note to parents stated –

“We thank you for your continued support as we greve as a school community and we want to express our deepest condolences to the Bahme family.”
